Jay Artis-Wright

Jay Artis-Wright brings over 15 years of diverse professional experiences to DLI in the private and public sectors. Currently, she serves as Executive Director of Parent Revolution. Prior to this role she served as Senior Advisor of Policy and Public Affairs for the California Charter Schools Association, where she led policy initiatives focused on educational equity, teacher diversity and local control funding formula (LCFF). She has multi-faceted experience, ranging from project management at law firms-to leading demonstrations of over 1,000 people- to advocating for performers within the entertainment industry. She has trained thousands nationwide on policy, elected leadership and organizing- secured policy wins for charter schools and coached political campaigns for women to win local school board seats.

A long-term advocate for quality schools, Jay started her career, working with Federal Trio Programs for low-income, first- generation high schools students and most recently was the founding Chairperson of College Achieve Central Charter School in Plainfield, New Jersey. She has a Master’s Degree in Urban Development from University of Southern California and a Political Science B.A from CSU Sacramento.
